We have experienced and talented staff with Association Offices:

  TONY STEVEN (Managing Director)

Tony Steven is the founder of “Association Offices” a business he started in 1998, it provides secretariat services to a number of associations. 

Tony is experienced in both Association Management and small business having been State Director of a political party for over 3 years and Manager of a health and fitness club along with being involved with many other organisations.

 

ROBERT MALLETT (Senior Manager)

Robert Mallet has a long history in customer service having run his own sports goods store in Hobart for many years. Since then he has worked in the Office of Post Compulsory Education and Training within the State Service providing him with valuable experience in the training system.

He then moved on to the role of Executive Officer of the TAS WRAPS ITAB (Wholesale, Retail and Personal Services, Industry Training Advisory Board) which gave Robert experience in both association management and the training system in Australia.

He now runs his own business from the office of Association Offices called "The FRONT Man", MC and host, training advisor and meeting facilitator.

Robert is a Client Manager for Association Offices and looks after several of our associations including the Hairdressing Federation of Tasmania and the Baking Industry Association of Tasmania among others. He is also the spokesperson for the National Independent Retailers Association (NIRA).

 

   LORRAINE BENNETT (Client Manager)

Lorraine Bennett has been with Association Offices since November 2004 taking on the Retail Traders’ Association as client manager. Lorraine owns her own small business in personnel recruitment using her 14 years experience. This gives her real empathy with small business, industrial relations and human resource management issues.

Her skills will assist retailers and other small business clients in many management areas, such as payroll and management counselling.

Lorraine is a member of the Rotary Club of Glenorchy; she is married with 3 children and 4 grand children and has a commitment to excellent customer service.

     JONATHAN BRAKE (Client Manager)

Jonathan Brake has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Population Studies as well as a Master of Advertising and Public Relations. Jonathan is a marketing and business development specialist starting his career in large corporate organisations including Southern Pacific Hotels and Fuji Xerox.
Jonathan is owner and Managing Director of Momentum:tmc, a marketing and design agency focused on delivering services to SME's and not for profit organisations. Jonathan is Managing the Canberra Office and assisting Association Offices with the Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia (COSBOA) by organising events, representation at the many forums committees and meetings the council is involved with, and administration.

 

     FIONA TUXEN (Administration Manager)

Fiona started with Association Offices in 2005 and has brought a wealth of administrative experience and knowledge with her.  She is expert in MYOB and accounting procedures developing ever more efficient procedures for all of our clients. End of year audits and renewals are always a problem for the Treasurer and committees however all of this can be over come with Fiona's experience and level headed approach to the job.

 

     HELEN STEVEN (Event Co-ordinator)

Helen Steven is in charge of event management at Association Offices, after many years working in convention management with Sheraton she has now taken on the IPAA National Conference and has run several industry weeks and events.

 

  HANNAH TREWARTHA (Administration Officer)

Hannah Trewartha joined the Canberra office of Association Offices in November 2005.  She loves working with people and is looking forward to developing her skills during her apprenticeship in administration.  She has recently finished a Bachelor in Music at the Australian National University in Canberra in performance on tenor Trombone.

 

     RACHEL HARROD (Receptionist and Trainee)

Rachel joined Association Offices in 2005 as a trainee and has proven to be a real asset in administration. As well as assisting Fiona Tuxen in most areas, and has a major role with the Network Property Group. Rachel provides a continuity between the client managers and is an excellent front face for the company at reception.
