The Tasmanian Association 

for Hospice and Palliative Care

The aims of the Tasmanian Association for Hospice and Palliative Care are:

Ø      To foster and promote the principles of palliative care for   all people

Ø      To be the representative body for hospice and palliative care within Tasmania

Ø      To liaise and affiliate with appropriate national and international organisations

  In the general community we will:

Ø      Work to increase the awareness and understanding of hospice and palliative care

Ø      Foster community understanding of hospice and palliative care

Ø      Provide information about access to services.

  For professional and volunteer services we can:

Ø      Provide education and information

Ø      Support the maintenance of best practice standards in hospice and palliative care

Ø      Support all workers involved in the care of people who are dying

Ø      Advocate for service provision and its future development

Have a voice in the future of hospice and palliative care in Tasmania

Membership is open to service providers, consumers and members of the general community who demonstrate a commitment to the development of hospice and palliative care.
